SEO Expert for Brisbane Businesses

I work with Australian businesses from Kathmandu, and have done since 2018. If you are in Brisbane looking for senior SEO work without Brisbane agency overhead, this page explains honestly how that works, what it costs and what it does not include.

  • Australian clients since 2018
  • Calls in your morning, AEST
  • Invoices in AUD, month to month

First, the honest part: I am not in Brisbane

I work from Kathmandu. There is no Brisbane office and I am not going to pretend otherwise, because you would find out and it would cost me the relationship. What you get instead is the person doing the work rather than an account manager, at rates well below a Brisbane agency, with calls scheduled in your morning.

What that means practically: no in-person meetings, no walking into your premises to photograph it, and no attending your marketing team’s stand-ups. Everything happens over Zoom, email and shared documents. For most SEO work that is how it happens anyway, even with a local agency. If your business genuinely needs someone in the room, hire locally, and I will say so on the call rather than take the work.

Brisbane industries where the work transfers

The sectors I have Australian experience in map onto Brisbane’s economy reasonably well. Finance and mortgage broking, through work for Better Broking, where rebuilding the Google Ads account and its tracking cut cost per acquisition by 35 per cent in 60 days and lifted the account to over 40 leads a month. Medical and healthcare, through Macquarie Medical. Software, through MoleMax Systems. Travel and tourism, through Touropa Australia.

Beyond those, the structural work is the same regardless of sector: a site that can be crawled and indexed properly, pages that match what people search rather than what the business calls its services, local visibility for the suburbs you actually serve, and tracking that shows which enquiries came from where. Trades and home services, which are a large part of the Brisbane market, respond particularly well to that combination because their competitors rarely do any of it.

Local search across a spread-out city

Brisbane’s geography matters for local SEO. A business in Fortitude Valley and one in Logan are competing for different searches even when they offer the same service, because proximity is a ranking factor you cannot change. The work is deciding which suburbs are realistically winnable, setting the Google Business Profile service area to match, and building suburb pages only where there is genuine business rather than generating one for every postcode, which Google treats as doorway pages.

For a business with several locations across the city, the location page system in multi-location SEO is the relevant piece; for a single location, local SEO and the Business Profile work usually produce results faster than anything on the website.

What a Brisbane engagement includes

  • A technical audit and the fixes, either implemented directly on WordPress or written as tickets your developer can action.
  • Keyword research done for the Australian market, not translated from anywhere, since volumes and terminology differ from other English-speaking markets.
  • Page architecture and content briefs, with writing where you want it.
  • Local search work: profile, citations, reviews and suburb pages where justified.
  • Tracking that counts enquiries, including calls and form submissions, so the reporting is about leads rather than rankings.
  • A monthly call and a report in plain English, with what changed and what is next.

Hours, currency and how we work together

Nepal is four hours and forty-five minutes behind AEST, so your morning is my early morning and overlap is straightforward. I keep call slots for Australian mornings.

Invoicing is monthly in AUD, by bank transfer or Wise. Invoices are issued from Nepal and do not include Australian GST; confirm how imported services are treated with your accountant. Pricing for Australian engagements is on request and sits well below comparable local agency rates, which is a cost-of-living difference rather than a quality discount. Engagements are month to month with 30 days’ notice, and you keep every account, profile and document.

Start with a free audit of your site

The free SEO audit is a recorded walkthrough of what is holding your site back, ranked by impact, with no obligation. It is the most honest way to judge whether working with someone in Kathmandu suits you. Frequently asked questions

Do you have Brisbane clients specifically?

My Australian clients are in other cities; I am not going to claim Brisbane references I do not have. What I can point to is Australian work across finance, healthcare, software and travel, and the local search work transfers directly to a Brisbane market.

How do the time zones work?

Nepal is four hours and forty-five minutes behind AEST, so your morning overlaps comfortably with my day. Calls are scheduled in your morning, and day-to-day communication is asynchronous by email or Slack.

Is GST charged?

Invoices are issued from Nepal and no GST is added. Your accountant can confirm how imported services are treated for your business, since that depends on your circumstances rather than mine.

Why is it cheaper than a Brisbane agency?

Cost of living, not corner cutting. The same senior work costs less to deliver from Kathmandu, which is why roughly half my clients are outside Nepal. You also get the person doing the work rather than a junior on an agency roster.

Can you meet in person?

No. If in-person presence matters to how you buy, hire locally. I would rather say that on the first call than take on an engagement where the working relationship is wrong from the start.

Ready to talk about your project?

A free 30-minute call, a straight answer about what would move the numbers, and a written proposal within 48 hours if we are a fit.
