Automation

Automation by Industry

Every industry has its own repetitive work, and it is rarely the work a generic automation guide describes. These pages set out what actually consumes hours in each sector, which two or three workflows are worth building first, and how sensitive data is handled.

Start from the repetition, not the tool

Automation projects fail when they begin with a platform. They succeed when they begin with the thing somebody does forty times a week: chasing a document, sending the same reminder, copying a lead between systems, rebuilding a report. Those tasks differ by industry, which is why these pages are organised that way.

Each page covers the repetitive work in that sector, the workflows worth building first, how the industry’s sensitive data is handled, and where a workflow should stop and a person take over.

If your industry is not listed

The absence of a page does not mean I have not worked in your sector, and the presence of one does not mean it is the only thing I do. Tell me what you sell and who buys it on the contact page and I will tell you which channels are worth your budget. The full service list is on marketing and business automation.

Frequently asked questions

Why organise this by industry rather than by service?

Because the channel mix that works differs more by industry than by anything else. Two businesses of the same size in different sectors need different plans, and starting from the service list produces a plan that fits the service rather than the customer.

My industry is not here. Does that mean you cannot help?

No. These are the sectors where I have enough experience to write something specific. The underlying work, search, paid channels, tracking and follow-up, applies broadly, and the first call establishes what your buyers actually do.
