Who this is for
Three situations bring people to this page. A founder about to spend on marketing for the first time who wants a plan before hiring anyone. A marketing manager with an in-house team that executes well but has no channel strategy and reports activity instead of results. And a company that has worked with two or three agencies, has accounts and dashboards everywhere, and needs someone independent to say what is working and what to stop. In all three the deliverable is the same: a written strategy you own.
If you already know the channel and want it run, you do not need this page; go straight to SEO, Google Ads or Meta Ads. If you want ongoing leadership rather than a document, the fractional CMO engagement is the fit.
What you receive
- Situation review. What your analytics, ad accounts, search visibility and social pages say today, in plain language, with the gaps ranked. The deeper version of this is the digital marketing audit.
- Audience and intent map. Who buys, how they search or discover, and which channel reaches them at which stage. For most Nepal businesses this is the section that changes the budget the most.
- Channel strategy. Which channels get budget, in what order, and what each is accountable for. Includes what not to do, which is usually half the value.
- Budget split and targets. Monthly budget by channel, expected cost per lead ranges from comparable accounts, and the number each channel must hit to keep its budget.
- Measurement plan. The events, dashboards and monthly review format, so the plan can be judged; built out under analytics and tracking if needed.
- 90-day roadmap. Week-by-week actions with owners, whether that owner is me, your team or a vendor.
- Presentation and Q&A. A 60 to 90 minute session walking the team through the plan, recorded for anyone who missed it.
How a strategy engagement runs
- Kickoff (week one). Goals, constraints, history, and read-only access to GA4, Search Console, ad accounts, CRM and social pages. If access is missing, the plan says so rather than guessing.
- Research (weeks one to two). Account review, competitor review, keyword and demand check for your market, and interviews with two or three people who sell or serve customers. Where no keyword data exists for a Nepal niche, the plan labels the estimate as unresearched.
- Draft strategy (week three). Shared as a document with open questions, not a slide deck to be admired.
- Working session (week three). We argue about the draft. Budget assumptions, sequencing and the definition of a lead get settled here.
- Final plan and presentation (week four).
- Optional follow-on. A monthly advisory call to keep the plan honest, or execution of any part of it under the relevant service.
What a good strategy says about Nepal specifically
- Search demand in Nepal is real but thinner than in Western markets; a plan built on imported keyword volumes will over-invest in SEO for niches where nobody searches yet.
- Facebook and WhatsApp are where most Nepali consumers make contact, so the funnel usually ends in a chat, not a form. The plan designs for that, including who answers and how fast.
- Payment and ad-account rules for Nepali businesses affect which platforms are practical; the plan checks this before recommending a channel.
- For businesses selling abroad (tourism, IT services, remittance, education consultancy), the plan separates the Nepal funnel from the international one, because the channels, currencies and landing pages differ.
Common strategy mistakes I correct
- Spreading a small budget across five channels so none of them reaches learning.
- Buying awareness campaigns before the site can convert the traffic they bring.
- Choosing channels by what the previous agency sold rather than by how customers actually find you.
- Measuring social by followers, SEO by rankings and ads by clicks, so no channel is judged on leads.
- Keeping a channel because sunk cost, not because the cost per lead justifies it.
Proof
I have run strategy and planning engagements for IT and software companies in Nepal and analytics-led planning for Global IME Bank. The published case studies show what happened when a plan was executed end to end in SEO, Google Ads and Meta Ads. If you want to know who you would be working with, the digital marketing expert profile covers background and markets.
Pricing pointer
A strategy engagement is a fixed-price project, sized by the number of channels and markets in scope and whether a full audit is included. A monthly advisory retainer is available afterwards. Current figures are on the packages page.
Next step
Book a call and bring the last three months of spend and results, however rough. I will tell you on the call whether you need a strategy document, an audit or simply someone to run a channel. The digital marketing hub lists every option.
