How I price SEO
SEO cost in Nepal is set by three things: how competitive your keywords are, how big and how broken the site is, and how much new content and outreach the plan needs each month. The three tiers above package those three variables at sensible levels. They are a starting structure for a quote, not a shopping cart: after a free audit I will tell you which tier the site actually needs, and if it is the cheaper one, I will say so. All fees are monthly and exclude VAT.
Every tier is delivered by me personally as part of my SEO services. There is no junior team behind the price, which is why the tiers differ in scope rather than in who does the work.
The three SEO packages
The three tiers above, Starter, Growth and Enterprise, are the full list. Starter and Growth carry a fixed monthly fee. Enterprise is quoted after scoping, because large, multi-brand and international sites differ too much for one figure to be honest. Each card lists what the tier covers for audit and technical work, keyword targets, on-page work, content, local SEO, links, AI search and reporting.
What actually changes between tiers
Scope of pages. Starter fixes and optimizes a handful of pages by hand. Growth covers every commercial page and sets template rules so new pages inherit them. Enterprise works at the template and section level because there are too many pages to touch individually.
Content volume. This is the largest cost driver. Writing, editing and publishing a page that ranks takes hours, and competitive markets need several a month. Starter includes one piece; Enterprise includes an editorial calendar and a refresh programme.
Link work. Outreach is slow and manual. Starter does not include it beyond citations because the budget cannot fund enough of it to matter; Growth adds a monthly outreach cycle; Enterprise runs a programme with quarterly targets. The link building page explains what I will and will not do for links at any price.
Technical depth. Starter fixes the critical issues on a WordPress site. Growth fixes everything found and re-crawls quarterly. Enterprise is an ongoing technical programme with tickets for your developers and checks on every release, which is what large and eCommerce sites need. Details on the technical SEO page.
Reporting and access. All tiers get a monthly report. Growth and Enterprise add calls and, at Enterprise, a quarterly review for management. My availability on Slack or WhatsApp between reports scales with the tier.
How to choose
- Choose Starter if you have one location or product line, competitors are other small businesses, and the site is small. Typical clients: a clinic, a cafe, a law office, a consultancy, a trekking agency with one office. The small business and startup SEO page describes this tier in practice.
- Choose Growth if you sell several services or products, want to rank across Kathmandu or a region, or have a store with a few hundred pages. This is the tier most established Nepali businesses end up on.
- Choose Enterprise if you are a bank, a group with several brands, an eCommerce site with thousands of SKUs, or targeting Australian, UK or US keywords where competitors have agencies and large content teams. For enterprise setups, see enterprise SEO.
If the honest answer after the audit is that the site needs a one-off technical fix and no retainer, I will quote that instead. SEO audits, migrations and Google Business Profile setups are projects, quoted on request.
What is never included, at any tier
- Guaranteed rankings or guaranteed traffic figures.
- Purchased links, private blog networks or link “packages”.
- Purchased or incentivized reviews.
- Mass-produced AI articles published without editing and a brief.
- Reports that list activities without connecting them to rankings, traffic and enquiries.
International pricing
Clients in Australia, the UK, the USA, Canada and the UAE are on the same three tiers as clients in Nepal. The scopes are identical; the difference is the competition in your market, which usually places international clients at Growth or Enterprise. I work from Kathmandu without agency overhead, which is why the fees sit below typical local agency fees for the same scope, not because the work is different. Invoiced in NPR, USD, EUR, GBP, AUD, CAD or AED. How the working relationship runs, including time zones, calls and payment, is on the working with international clients page.
Terms
Engagements run month to month after an initial three-month period, which is the minimum time SEO needs to show whether the plan is working. Invoices are issued at the start of each month; payment by bank transfer, eSewa or Khalti in Nepal and by bank transfer or Wise internationally. Ad spend, hosting, premium plugins and paid tools that you own are billed at cost or held in your accounts.
