Business Manager & Ad Account
- Create Meta Business Manager (not personal ad account)
- Create Ad Account under Business Manager with NPR or USD currency based on billing preference
- Add payment method β credit card, PayPal, or direct debit
- Set up Business Page and grant Business Manager access
Pixel & Conversions API
- Create Meta Pixel in Events Manager
- Install via GTM (preferred) or directly in site code
- Set up standard events: PageView, ViewContent, AddToCart, InitiateCheckout, Purchase, Lead
- Configure Conversions API via native integration (Shopify, WordPress plugins) or server-side tagging (GTM server)
- Deduplicate Pixel + CAPI events (event_id parameter)
- Test using Events Manager > Test Events
- Verify Event Match Quality score β aim for 6+ (good)
Campaign Structure for Nepal
- Awareness / Cold Prospecting β broad or 1β3% lookalike audiences
- Consideration / Retargeting β website visitors (past 30/60/180 days)
- Conversion / Bottom Funnel β add-to-cart, lead form started, past purchasers
- Use Advantage+ Placements (let Meta optimize across placements)
- Campaign Budget Optimization (CBO) for most cases
Audiences
- Core: demographics (age, gender, location), interests, behaviors
- Custom: website visitors, customer lists (Customer Match), video viewers, page engagers
- Lookalikes: 1%, 2%, 3% β built from highest-value seed audiences (purchasers, high-LTV customers)
- For Nepal: location targeting usually set to Kathmandu Valley or specific cities
Creative
- Static image: square (1:1) for Feed, vertical (9:16) for Stories/Reels
- Video: 15β60 seconds for consideration; 6β15 seconds for awareness
- Captions on all video (most played silent initially)
- Nepali language for Nepal-targeted campaigns
- Clear single CTA in creative and in ad copy
- Minimum 5 creatives per campaign to test
