What a suspension is, and what it is not
A disapproved ad is one ad that cannot serve; a limited ad is serving to fewer people; a suspended account serves nothing, and any new account you open to get around it is a policy violation in its own right. The suspension email names a policy but rarely the specific cause, and the appeal form allows a short explanation. Most failed appeals I see were sent within an hour of the email, said “we did nothing wrong”, and changed nothing. Google reviews the account, the website and the billing profile against the named policy; if those are the same as before, the answer is the same as before.
Suspension reasons I see most often
| Policy named | What usually caused it | What fixes it |
|---|---|---|
| Circumventing systems | A second account after an earlier suspension, cloaked or redirecting landing pages, repeated resubmission of the same disapproved ad, or an agency’s shared payment profile linked to a bad account | Identify every linked account and profile, resolve the original issue, remove redirects and cloaking, then appeal with the account history explained honestly |
| Suspicious payments | A card that failed or was disputed, a new card from a different country than the account, prepaid or virtual cards, or a card previously used on a suspended account | Clean billing profile in the business’s name and country, bank or card documentation, and an appeal that explains the payment history |
| Unacceptable business practices | Website with no contact details, no privacy or refund policy, unclear pricing, claims that cannot be substantiated, or a business model Google classes as deceptive | Website fixed page by page against the policy, then a review request with the changes listed |
| Business operations verification failed | Registration documents, website and Google Ads business name that do not match each other, or a verification deadline missed | Consistent legal name across the account, the site and the documents; resubmission with the right documents |
| Advertiser verification not completed | Identity or organization verification requested in-account and left unanswered | Complete verification with the documents Google lists for your country before the deadline |
| Misrepresentation (Merchant Center) | Price mismatch, missing return policy, checkout problems or an unverified store | Store fixes, then Merchant Center review; see Merchant Center and feed management |
Who this is for
Businesses whose own account has been suspended; agencies whose client account was suspended after a shared billing or manager-account link; and businesses in regulated categories such as finance, healthcare, remittance, study abroad and recruitment that want a compliance review before spending. It is also for Nepal-based advertisers who have received an advertiser verification request and are unsure which documents Google will accept.
What the service includes
Diagnosis
I read the policy notice, the account change history, the billing profile, the landing pages and any linked accounts, and name the most likely cause in writing. Sometimes the answer is that the account cannot be recovered under the current business model, and I tell you that before you pay for an appeal.
Fixes
Website changes for contact, policy and claim requirements; billing profile corrections; removal of redirects, cloaking or tracking templates that behave like it; ad copy and landing pages adjusted for the restricted category you are in.
The appeal
One appeal, written with the cause, the fix and the evidence, submitted through the account. Repeated appeals without changes reduce the chance of a manual review; I do not send them.
Advertiser and business verification
Google extends advertiser verification country by country and notifies selected accounts inside Google Ads with a deadline. I walk you through identity or organization verification, check that the legal name on your documents, website and account match, and handle the resubmission if the first attempt is rejected.
Pre-launch compliance check
For new accounts in sensitive categories, a checklist review of the site, the offer and the ads against the policies that apply, before the first campaign goes live. This is included in every Google Ads setup and management engagement.
How a recovery runs
- You send the suspension notice and read-only access to the account and any manager account.
- Written diagnosis within three business days: the policy, the probable cause, the fixes, and an honest view of recovery chances.
- Fixes applied by you, your developer or me, with a checklist to confirm each one.
- Appeal drafted, reviewed with you, submitted.
- Follow-up on Google’s response; if the reinstatement comes with conditions, I document them in the account.
- Optional: a rebuild of the campaigns under PPC management so the account is not suspended again for the same reason.
What I will not do
- Open a new account, a relative’s account or an agency account to advertise the same business while the original is suspended. That is circumventing systems and it usually ends with both accounts gone.
- Promise reinstatement. I can improve the appeal and remove the cause; the decision is Google’s.
- Appeal accounts whose business model breaks policy, such as products Google prohibits outright.
Pricing and next step
Suspension diagnosis and appeal work is quoted as a fixed project fee after I have seen the notice, with the fee confirmed in writing before any work starts; it is separate from the management fees on the packages and pricing page. If your account is still serving but you have had disapprovals or a verification request, a free Google Ads audit includes a policy and verification check.
