Client, industry and market
ADS Electrical, an electrical contractor serving Sydney, Australia.
What I did
Audit and priorities
The engagement opened with a full crawl, an index-coverage review, a Core Web Vitals check, an on-page review of the commercial pages and a backlink profile review. Findings were ranked by impact and effort rather than by severity label, so the work started where it would move the numbers first.
Technical fixes first
Anything blocking crawling or indexing was fixed before new content went live. Working in that order means later content is indexed on publication instead of waiting behind an unresolved technical problem.
Keyword research and intent mapping
One primary term per page, grouped secondaries, and a list of pages to create, merge or retire, so two pages never compete for the same query.
Content and local signals
Commercial pages were rewritten or created against the mapped intent, and the Google Business Profile was completed and kept active where local search mattered.
Results
The business now holds a Top 3 local pack position across its core service areas, organic enquiries are 3x what they were, and 25+ service and service-area keywords sit on page one.
What this shows
For a trade business the map pack is the whole game. A complete, active Google Business Profile and a genuine page per service area beat a larger site with neither.
